Simulator

Here are a couple of pictures from the sim in Seattle. I did all of my training in the right seat as I am an FO and not a Captain, however I did get to try a bit from the left seat while my Capt was doing his right seat conversion training. It was interesting using the tiller to steer on the ground instead of the rudder pedals.

Here Comes The Bride...

On Saturday I went to my friends (Scott and Jesse) wedding out in Kananaskis. It was so beautiful and the weather was perfect. The wedding was outside next to some horse stables and it was just amazing with the view of the mountains in the background. Scott and Jesse have to be two of the coolest people I know. Everyone who has ever met them would agree. They are just loveable and a perfect match. Jesse is a pilot and has been living up north for the past few months (amazing how the wedding turned out so great considering she was never here) and anyway she is going to the Maldives this week for six months or so. Her hubby is also going in mid October to live so they should have lots of fun! Anyway, here are some pics!

Seattle

So I have returned from Seattle having completed my Jetstream training and flight test. It was difficult at times but I learned a lot. It was my first training in a proper simulator and the flight deck looks identical to the aircraft and all of the switches, etc do the same as if it were a plane sitting out on the ramp - pretty amazing. Anyway, it is all over with and now I'll be flying that plane as well as the King air.
The first day we arrived in Seattle we took some time to do a little sight seeing around the city. I'll post some of the pictures.

9-11

I feel as though I need to post just a small something because it is September 11th. I'm sure it is a very difficult day of remembrance for many thousands of people in the US. My thoughts are with them.

Steve Irwin

I just read that Steve Irwin passed away today. I guess he was filming underwater and had his heart pierced by a stingray barb and suffered cardiac arrest. I never really watched his show or was that into him, but I just found this really sad. I never want to die doing what I love.

One Million Bucks

Lately, I feel as though I havn't had much to say on my blog. I've felt consumed by studying and have not had much else going on that is interesting enough to write about!! So, I feel happy to have been tagged by Issy to post 10 things I would do if I won a million bucks. I imagine it would be easy enough to spend! Here I go:
1. Pay off my student loans - they are a curse
2. Pay off my brothers mortgage
3. Give my parents whatever they wanted
4. Pay for my friend Sue's multi-IFR and the rest of her commercial license
5. Buy Sean and Nancy an RV (with fancy bike racks)
6. Invest in a house or property
7. I don't think I'd get a number 7,8,9 or 10 after all of that!!!
